Home Again Logo paw bulletWestonka Animal Hospital is proud and excited to be a leading implanter of Home Again Lost Pet Retrieval systems in the state of MN.
If your dog is ever lost, most humane societies (including Hennepin County and Wright County), police departments (including Mound and Orono), have the scanners to identify your dog if he/she has an implanted microchip and can have you contacted within minutes.
To eliminate pain associated with implantation of the chip, we encourage implantation while your dog is under anesthesia. The implantation fee and investment into your dog's security is $61.87. This excludes the national registration fee which is additional. We will be sending the application home with you at discharge so you will be mailing in the application and national fee separately from your home.
Would you like to have your dog implanted with a HOME AGAIN microchip when he/she is under anesthesia?

paw bullet  Pet intestinal parasties are a potential health risk to their owners. For more information about intestinal parasites, visit the Centers for Disease Control information at http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/roundwrm/roundwrm.htm
Often times our clients have a difficult time getting their pet’s fresh stool to the hospital for an Intestinal Parasite Examination. Intestinal parasites, such as roundworms and hookworms are infectious to people and can cause blindness in children. Roundworm eggs in the soil may remain infectious to people and pets for years. This test should be done yearly in dogs. If your pet defecates while at the clinic, would you like for us to collect it and test for parasites?
[    ] Yes, please check my dog's stool. (your pet & human health investment is $21.12)
[    ] No, I would not like my dog's stool checked for intestinal parasites at this time.
